A range of Metric NIE Trilobular screws in pan head of Countersunk form. Trilobular screws are thread forming screws, having a tri-lobular cross-section which enables them to roll a thread in a prepared hole. This thread forming capacity eliminates the need for tapped holes giving important 'in-place' cost saving. |

Features: * The resulting firmness of fit enables the Joint to resist vibration eliminating the need for other costly methods to prevent loosening such as plastic pathetics or underhead locking washers & nuts. * A Larger, variation in pilot hole acceptable than with drilled and tapped holes. * In thin sheets performance is increased by the use of extruded holes to give an increased length of thread engagement * Accumulation of chips which occur with thread cutting screws is not a problem making the screws ideal for use in blind holes and in applications in the electrical industry where short circuiting can be a serious problem * Do not require pre-tapping, thus saves tapping cost, time, labour & transit. * Requires only a punched hole to drive the screws. *The triangular cross section of the shank forms the threading on the counter part. * Does not require additional spares like spring washer, plain washer & nuts. * More over these screws forms the threading which are of standard ortch of an ordinary machine screw thus provides reusability and inter changeability which is an edge over ordinary fasteners. * A considerable amount of money , time, transit and labour is saved. | |
